AQIX® Technology is designed from an analyses of human and other mammalian sera;

  • To optimise biophysical, biochemical and physiological parameters in isolated mammalian cells, tissues and organs.
  • To utilise the natural pH buffering mechanisms present in all mammalian species.
  • To preserve functionality under both hypothermic and normothermic conditions for extended periods of time.
  • To be chemically defined and free of animal derived products.

What is not in the patented AQIX® RS-I solution formulation

  • Nothing other than the 14 vital components each with specific reasons for being included.
  • No unnatural additives (except BES, a modified, taurine amino acid used as a pivotal part of the pH buffering mechanism).
  • No ionic phosphate, typically used for pH buffering and is the cause of calcium depletion, receptor desensitization and early necrosis especially of the most susceptible cells, neurons.

  • Test substances with no fear of unexpected interaction (fluid is chemically defined and free of unnatural components).
  • Antibiotic and antifungal agents.
  • Blood components.
